Special functions The following special functions can be selected or displayed: Setup mode In Setup mode you can make your personal settings. Switching on Press setup button. The first menu (temperature unit) is displayed in the fascia. Making settings 1. Switch on setup mode. 2. Press the selection button ¾ or ¿. The next menu is displayed and its current setting (mostly ON or OFF). 3. Press the setting button @ or A. The setting is stored, if the next menu is selected using ¾ or ¿. Switching off Press setup button. All of the changed settings are stored. Note: If no button is selected within 20 seconds, the setup mode ends automatically. All of the changed settings are stored. The set temperature is displayed again in the fascia. en-us Menus in the setup mode The following settings can be made. Menu Possible setting Temperature unit °C (degrees Celsius) °F (degrees Fahrenheit) Language English French Spanish Sound On Off Energy saving mode On (eco function) Off Vacation mode If leaving the appliance for a long period of time, you can switch the appliance over to the energy-saving vacation mode. When Vacation mode is switched on, the following settings are made: ■ The appliance works in energy saving mode. ■ The illumination is switched off. ■ Super cooling or super freezing is then ended (if activated). Switching on Press Vacation button. VACATION is displayed in the fascia. Switching off Press Vacation button. The previous settings and temperature values are once again activated. Sabbath mode When Sabbath mode is switched on, the following settings are switched off: ■ Super cooling ■ Super freezing ■ Acoustic signal when a button is pressed ■ Interior light ■ Background illumination of the fascia Switching on 1. Press and hold down the "super" button on refrigerator compartment. 2. Press Vacation button. 3. Press "super" button and hold down for a further 3 seconds. The VACATION symbol flashes on the display panel and SABBATH is displayed. Switching off Press Vacation button. The previous settings and temperature values are once again activated. 11

Exchanging the filter cartridge	15
1. Turn the filter cap on the base of the appliance by 90–180° anti-clockwise.	15
2. Pull out the filter cartridge.	15
3. Take a new filter cartridge from the packet and remove the protective cap.	15
4. Take the filter cap off of the used filter cartridge.	15
5. Place the filter cap on the fresh filter cartridge.	15
6. With the filter cap in a horizontal position, feed the filter cartridge into the opening on the appliance base as far as it will go.	15
7. Turn the filter cartridge 90–180° in a clockwise direction.	15
8. Pour water out of the used filter cartridge. The filter cartridge can be disposed of in the household rubbish.	15

1. Before cleaning: Switch the appliance off.	17
2. Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.	17
3. Take out the frozen food and store in a cool location. Place the ice pack (if enclosed) on the food.	17
4. Clean the appliance with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a little pH neutral washing-up liquid. The rinsing water must not run into the light.	17
5. Wipe the door seal with clear water only and then wipe dry thoroughly.	17
6. After cleaning reconnect and switch the appliance back on.	17
7. Put the frozen food back in the freezer compartment.	17

Sustituir el filtro de cartucho	36
1. Girar la caperuza del filtro de cartucho (situado en el zócalo del aparato) en un ángulo de 90°–180° hacia la izquierda (sentido de marcha contrario al de las agujas de reloj).	36
2. Extraer el filtro de cartucho.	36
3. Extraer el filtro nuevo de su embalaje; retirar la caperuza protectora del filtro.	36
4. Retirar la caperuza protectora del filtro de cartucho agotado.	36
5. Montar la caperuza protectora en el filtro nuevo.	36
6. Introducir el filtro de cartucho con caperuza horizontalmente en la abertura correspondiente en el zócalo del aparato, hasta el tope.	36
7. Girar el filtro de cartucho en un ángulo de 90°–180° hacia la derecha (sentido de marcha de las agujas del reloj).	36
8. Verter el agua contenida en el filtro de cartucho usado en el desagüe. El cartucho usado se puede evacuar con la basura doméstica.	36

Modo de proceder:	38
1. Desconectar el aparato antes de proceder a su limpieza.	38
2. ¡Extraer para ello el enchufe del aparato de la red de corriente, o desactivar el fusible!	38
3. Retirar los alimentos del aparato y colocarlos en un lugar frío. Colocar los cajones de congelación en un lugar lo más frío posible.	38
4. Limpiar el aparato con un paño suave, agua templada y un poco de lavavajillas manual con pH neutro. Téngase presente que el agua empleada en la limpieza del aparato no debe entrar en contacto con la iluminación.	38
5. Limpiar la junta de la puerta sólo con agua clara, secándola bien a continuación.	38
6. Tras concluir la limpieza del aparato: Conectarlo a la red y ponerlo en funcionamiento.	38
7. Colocar los alimentos congelados en el compartimento de congelación.	38

3. Secar bien con un paño el depósito, a fin de evitar que los cubitos de hielo nuevos puedan quedar adheridos.	38
4. Colocar el depósito de cubitos de hielo.	38

Setup mode

In Setup mode you can make your personal settings.

The first menu (temperature unit) is displayed

Note:

If no button is selected within 20 seconds, the setup

mode ends automatically. All of the changed settings

are stored. The set temperature is displayed again

in the fascia.

Menus in the setup mode

The following settings can be made.

Vacation mode

If leaving the appliance for a long period of time, you

can switch the appliance over to the energy-saving

vacation mode.

When Vacation mode is switched on, the following

settings are made:

The appliance works in energy saving mode.

■

The illumination is switched off.

■

Super cooling or super freezing is then ended

(if activated).

Sabbath mode

When Sabbath mode is switched on, the following

again activated.
