Maintenance • Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat. • Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood or lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture. • Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzene, thinner or similar materials can mar the surface of the case. Daylight-Saving Time 1. Depending on your location and whether or not DST (Day Saving Time) is in effect, set the DST Switch located on the left of the unit to +1 to advance the time one hour or to -1 to subtract an hour. Activating the +1 switch will turn the DST icon on. Setting Time and Date 2. Press and hold the Time Set Button until the time display blinks. 3. Press the > Button to adjust to the correct time. Press and hold the button for faster forward or back- ward adjustment. 4. Remember to set the correct AM or PM. The PM Indicator is located on the upper right side of the display; there is no AM indicator 5. Press the Time Set Button again. The year display will blink. 6. Press the > Button to adjust to the correct year. Press and hold the button for faster forward or back- ward adjustment. 7. Press the Time Set Button again. The date display will blink. 8. Press the > Button to adjust to the correct date. Press and hold the button for faster forward or back- ward adjustment 9. Press the Time Set Button again or wait for about 10 seconds to exit the time setting process. Two beeps will confirm time setting mode is complete. 6
