Introduction Connecting Your TV Using the Remote Control E Closed Caption This TV is equipped with an internal Closed Caption decoder. Press CLOSED CAPTION to select MODE or DATA or press MENU to display the menu display. 1. Press MENU and press VOL - or + to select . 2. Press CH S or T to select CLOSED CAPTION. 3. V-CHIP Block (US Only) This function allows TV programs to be restricted and TV usage to be controlled based on FCC data, and helps prevent children from watching violent or sexual scenes that may be unsuitable. Restriction of TV programs is based on two ratings systems that contain information about the program: the MPAA rating and the TV Parental Guidelines. The MPAA rating is an age restriction. The TV Parental Guidelines give an age restriction and content information. Since a TV program may use either the MPAA rating or the TV Parental Guidelines, both should be used for complete control.
