Adjusting the long life features The long life settings (Picture shift, Reverse, White, and Gray level) are to mitigate the phosphor burn-in of the plasma screen. Picture shift The picture moves around the screen intermittently. Select ON to reduce the phosphor burn-in of the plasma screen. To activate the picture shift: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the SET UP menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight PICTURE SHIFT. Note : To reduce the risk of phosphor burn-in, the Picture shift function activates as default. (Set ON.) SET UP LONG L I FE P I CTURE SH I FT REVERSE WH I TE GRAY LEVEL ON / OFF 1 3. Press x or • to select ON. To deactivate the picture shift: Select OFF in step 3 above. Reverse The picture is displayed alternately between positive image and negative image to reduce the phosphor burn-in of the screen. This function is effective for the pattern image. To activate the reverse: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the SET UP menu appears. 2. Press y or z to highlight REVERSE. After the result of the phosphor burn-in, you may mitigate the image retention if you keep on the Reverse for the same period of time the phosphor burn-in generated. Adjusting the long life features
The long life settings (Picture shift, Reverse, White, and Gray level)
are to mitigate the phosphor burn-in of the plasma screen.
Picture shift
The picture moves around the screen intermittently. Select ON to
reduce the phosphor burn-in of the plasma screen.
To activate the picture shift:
