Others Problems and troubleshooting Use the following check list for troubleshooting when you have problems with your unit. Consult your local dealer or service outlet if problems persist. Be sure all connections are properly made when using with other units. SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS PAGE POWER • Make sure the power cord is plugged in. • Try another AC outlet. TV/DVD does not operate. • Power is off, check fuse or circuit breaker. 14 • Unplug unit, then plug it back in. • Connect the DC car cord to the cigarette lighter socket. • The DC car cord fuse is drown, replace fuse. TV BROADCAST RECEPTION Poor sound or No sound. • Station or Cable TV experiencing problems, tune to another station. 16 • Check Volume adjustments. 22 • Check for sources of possible interference. 45 Poor picture or No picture. • Station or Cable TV experiencing problems, tune to another station. 16 • Check antenna or Cable TV connections, reorient antenna. 16 • Check for sources of possible interference. 45 • Check picture control adjustments. 28 • Station or Cable TV experiencing problems, tune to another station. 16 Poor reception on some channels. • Station signal is weak, reorient antenna to receive weaker station. 15,16 • Check for sources of possible interference. 45 Poor color or no color. Picture wobbles or drifts. No CATV reception. • Station or Cable TV experiencing problems, tune to another station. 16 • Make sure channels are set into memory. 25 • Check picture control adjustments. 28 • Check antenna or Cable TV connections, reorient antenna. 16 • Check for sources of possible interference. 45 • Station or Cable TV experiencing problems, tune to another station. 16 • Make sure channels are set into memory. 25 • Cable TV company is scrambling signal. - • Check antenna orientation. 15 • Check all Cable TV connections. 16 • Set TV/CABLE selection to the CABLE position. 25 • Station or Cable TV system problems, try another station. 22 Horizontal or diagonal bars on screen. • Check antenna connections, reorient antenna. • Check for sources of possible interference. 15,16 45 No reception above channel 13. • Make sure TV/CABLE selection is in the appropriate position. • If using antenna, check UHF antenna connections. 25 15 • No broadcast on station tuned. 25 TV shuts off. • Sleep Timer is set. 23 • Power interrupted. - Closed - Caption is not activated. Display is not shown in your language. • TV station experiencing problems or program tuned is not closed 22 captioned.
