TV operation Setting the V-Chip An age limitation can be set to forbid children to watch programs according to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING" level set. To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password. Notes: • If you forget the password, you cannot set the V-Chip. • To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep in the safe place. To register password To change password 1 Press MENU in the analog mode, then press or to select option. ADD / ERASE SAP OFF CLOSED CAPTION V-CHIP (Analog mode) 1 In the V-CHIP menu, press or to select "CHANGE PASSWORD", then press . V-CHIP V-CHIP OFF V-CHIP SET CHANGE PASSWORD 2 Press or to select "V-CHIP", then press . V-CHIP DIGITAL SETUP (Digital mode) ADD / ERASE SAP OFF CLOSED CAPTION V-CHIP (Analog mode) V-CHIP DIGITAL SETUP (Digital mode) 3 Enter the password (4 digits) using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. • If you input a wrong number, press CANCEL. V-CHIP SET NEW PASSWORD : / / / MENU 2 Enter the new password using Number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. CHANGE PASSWORD NEW PASSWORD 0Ð9 / ENTER / CANCEL / MENU 3 Enter the same password again using Number buttons (0-9) for safety, then press ENTER. CHANGE PASSWORD CONFIRM PASSWORD 0Ð9 / ENTER / CANCEL / MENU 0Ð9 / ENTER / CANCEL / MENU " " appears instead of the number. 4 Enter the same password again using Number buttons (0-9) for safety, then press ENTER.
