116 Learning the Basics Toshiba's online resources ❖ When I close the lid Set this option to Stand By so that the computer will go into Stand By mode when you close the display panel. 7 Click Apply. 8 Click OK to close the TOSHIBA Power Saver Properties window, then close the Control Panel. NOTE For more information about the Power Saver utility, see "Power Management" on page 242. Starting again from Stand By mode Use these instructions to restart the computer when you enter Stand By mode by closing the display panel: ❖ AC power. Open the display panel. ❖ Battery power. Open the display panel and press the power button until the on/off light changes to blue. The computer returns to the screen you were previously using.
