Advanced playback Repeat Play You can play a specific title, chapter, track, or segment repeatedly. (Title repeat, chapter/track repeat, A-B repeat) STOP A-B RPT REPEAT DVD-V VCD CD Repeating a title, chapter, or track Press REPEAT. RANDOM REPEAT Each time you press the REPEAT button, the repeat mode changes as follows. Chapter To resume normal playback Press REPEAT repeatedly until the repeat icon disappear. RANDOM REPEAT You can also use STOP to exit repeat playback. DVD-V Chapter DVD-V Title VCD Track CD DVD-V VCD Disc CD No display Repeats the same chapter. Repeats the same title. Repeats the same track. Notes • Some discs may not permit repeat operation. • You can also use an on-screen display to perform a repeat playback. 42 Repeats the entire disc. Resumes normal playback. DVD-V VCD CD Repeating a specific segment 1 Press A-B RPT at the beginning of the segment (point A) you want to play repeatedly. MEMORY A-B RPT A To resume normal playback Press A-B RPT again. MEMORY A-B RPT You can also use STOP to exit A-B repeat function. 2 Press A-B RPT again at the end of the segment (point B). MEMORY A-B RPT The player automatically returns to point A and starts repeat playback of the selected segment (A-B). AB Notes • Some discs may not permit A-B repeat operation. • You can specify a segment only within the current title or track. • You cannot set the A-B repeat function for a segment that includes multiple camera angles 38 . • There may be a slight difference between point A and the location where playback actually resumes depending on the disc. 33
