Basic playback Playing MP3/WMA Files You can play MP3/WMA files on this player. MENU / / / ENTER PLAY 3 PAUSE/STEP Playing MP3/WMA files Preparation • Make sure that a disc you want to play is compatible with this player. 31 • Set "Priority Contents 2" to "Audio" from the on-screen display. 74 1 Place a CD that contains MP3/WMA files on the disc holder and close the disc cover. To pause playback Press PAUSE/STEP during playback. PAUSE/STEP To resume normal playback, press the PLAY button. 2 Press PLAY. PLAY Playback starts. 3 To stop playback, press STOP. STOP Selecting a track (file name) in the disc 1 Press the MENU button. A list of file names appears. The current file name being played is highlighted in green. 2 Press the / / / buttons to select a file name you want to play. The selected file name is highlighted in blue. 3 Press the ENTER button to begin playback of the selected file name. Notes • Some discs may not permit this operation. • WMA tracks copy-protected cannot be played. • The BITSTREAM/PCM jack outputs MP3/WMA sounds in the linear PCM format regardless of the current "Audio Out Select" selection. 69 • If you stop playback by pressing the STOP button, and then press the PLAY button, playback will start from the beginning of the track. • The SKIP 29 , REPEAT 55 and RANDOM 56 functions are also available. 30
