Back side The figure below shows the computer's back side. USB Ports The Grand Tour LAN jack Universal Serial Bus Ports The computer's back side DC IN 15V The two Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports comply with USB Serial 2.0 standards, which enables data transfer speeds 40 times faster than the USB 1.1 standards. (The ports also support USB 1.1) Keep foreign objects out of the USB connectors. A pin or similar object can damage the computer's circuitry. Operation of all functions of all USB devices has not been confirmed. some functions might not execute properly. LAN jack DC IN 15V This jack lets you connect to a LAN. The adaptor has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T), Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second, 100BASE-Tx) or Giga-bit (depend on model you purchased). The LAN has two indicators. See Chapter 4, Operating Basics, for details. The AC adaptor connects to this socket. Use only the model of AC adaptor that comes with the computer.
