Japan regulations Region selection If you are using the computer in Japan, technical regulations described in the Telecommunications Business Law require that you select the Japan region mode. It is illegal to use the modem in Japan with any other selection. Redial Up to two redial attempts can be made. If more than two redial attempts are made, the modem will return Black Listed. If you are experiencing problems with the Black Listed code, set the interval between redials at one minute or longer. Japan's Telecommunications Business Law permits up to two redials on analogue telephones, but the redials must be made within a total of three minutes.
