44 Getting Started Selecting a place to work Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or permanent damage to the computer. Do not turn on the power again until you have taken the computer to an authorized service center. If you experience discomfort while operating the computer, stop immediately and rest. Continuous operation for long periods without adequate rest may cause pain in the arms, wrists, hands, neck or other part of the body. If pain persists despite rest, consult your doctor. PC base can become hot! Avoid prolonged contact to prevent heat injury to skin. Please refer to the "Instruction Manual for Safety and Comfort" for more information. Some PC Cards can become hot with prolonged use. If two cards are installed, both can become hot even if only one is being used. Overheating of a PC Card can result in errors or instability in its operation. Be careful when you remove a PC Card that has been used for a long period. Never apply heavy pressure to the computer or subject it to sharp impacts. Excessive pressure or impact can damage computer components or otherwise cause your computer to malfunction.
