User's Manual Cause 2 Remedy If you have forgotten the local IP address, reset to the defaults. Refer to the Appendix A, Default values. Note that not only the IP address, but all settings will be reset. The local IP address set in the personal computer may differ from that of the Wireless Routing Center. Confirm that the local IP address of the computer is in the same subnet as the local IP address of the Wireless Routing Center. To confirm the local IP address of the computer, follow the steps below. Windows XP/2000 1. Click Start and Run.... 2. Enter cmd to open the Command Prompt window. 3. Enter ipconfig and press Enter. 4. Check the values for the IP address and subnet mask. IP address : 192.168.10.100 - 192.168.10.150 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway : 192.168.10.1 Windows 98/Me 1. Click Start and Run..., then enter winipcfg in the input box. 2. Confirm that the local IP address of the computer is in the same subnet
as the local IP address of the Wireless Routing Center.
