The charge LED won't illuminate when the cordless handset is placed in the cradle. No stations can make or receive calls. A single cordless handset can't make or receive calls (but other stations can). A station can make calls, but it doesn't ring or receive a page. A cordless handset is not working. Try... • Checking the AC adapter connection (see page 8). • Re-seating the handset in the cradle. • Cleaning the charging contacts on the handsets (see page 54). • Checking the telephone cord connection. If Check TEL Line appears on the base or handset display, the telephone cord may not be connected correctly (see page 10). • Disconnecting the base AC adapter. Wait a few minutes, then reconnect it (see page 9). • Changing the dial mode (see page 12). • Moving the handset closer to the base. • Resetting the handset (see page 59). • Making sure the ringer isn't turned off (see page 36). • Checking the battery pack connection (see page 7). • Charging the battery for 15-20 hours. • Resetting the handset (see page 59). 55
