Expanding Your Phone Register expansion handsets to the main base Before the expansion handset is registered, the battery pack MUST be charged for 10 hours. To register an ELX500 handset, simply place it in the main base. To register a TCX860 handset, follow the steps below: 1) From the base, press menu/select and select System Setup menu. 2) Select Register Handset, and press menu/select. 3) On the handset, press and hold # until you hear a beep. 5[UVGO5GVWR /'55#)' $NWGVQQVJ 0 4GIKUVGT*CPFUGV 5'.'%6 While the handset is registering, Handset Registering will appear in the LCD.
