Setting the Ringer Options

System Setup Menu (System Setup) Global Dial Mode (Ringer Options) (Base:Rings/Volumes) Ringer Tones Dial Mode Your phone can communicate with the telephone network in two different ways: tone dialing and pulse dialing. These days, most phone networks use a method called tone dialing, so your phone comes programmed for tone dialing. If your phone company uses Pulse dialing, you'll need to change your phone's dial mode. There's an easy way to tell: try making a call. If your call connects, your phone's setting is fine. If not, go to Dial Mode and select Pulse. A confirmation tone tells you you've changed the dial mode, and you can try making a call again. Dial Mode
Your phone can communicate with the telephone network in two different ways: tone
dialing and pulse dialing. These days, most phone networks use a method called tone
dialing, so your phone comes programmed for tone dialing.
If your phone company uses
Pulse
dialing, you'll need to change
your phone's dial mode. There's an easy way to tell: try making a
call. If your call connects, your phone's setting is fine. If not, go
to
Dial Mode
and select

. A confirmation tone tells you
you've changed the dial mode, and you can try making a call
again.
Setting the Ringer Options
This menu lets you customize the Ringer or Speaker Volume
settings in your phone. You can set these options separately for
each handset and the base.
Ringer Tone
You can set a different ringer for each handset and the base.
This phone comes with 10 prerecorded songs and 15 different ringer tones; for the
handset you can also record your own ringer tones (see page 33).
