Memory features Storing a phone number in memory Your EXI 7926 stores up to 30 name/numbers in the handset plus 10 numbers in the base. Memory locations are shared by both lines. On the handset 1 Pick up the handset from the base. 2 Press and hold mem for two seconds. The following screen appears: line1 line2 mem Memory Store 01 John Smith 02 3 Use the • up/int'com and dn ª/conf keys, or number keypad, to choose the memory location to store a name/number. 4 Press sel/vol . The following screen appears: sel/vol chan redial/p call id dn up delete hold conf int'com flash Store Name 5 Enter a name by using the • up/int'com and dn ª/conf keys to scroll through the character menu. Use the * /0/tone and #/ 1 keys right or left, or to create a blank space. (The delete/flash key deletes characters as call id dn up delete the cursor moves left.) hold conf int'com flash 6 When you have finished entering a name, press sel/vol . The following screen appears. Store Number The cursor flashes, indicating that the display is ready for a number to be entered. continued next page Note Whenever you are using a menu screen, you must press a key within 20 seconds or the phone will return to standby. You may also press mem to exit a memory menu at any time. 26
