In Firmware/Snapshot/WES Packages URL field, replace YourServerIP in the original URL with the IP address of another computer where you want to get updates and snapshots, type in the default credentials - user as the username and secret as the password, and then click Save to apply. 3.2.8 Selecting the Service IP of ViewSonic Device Manager To select the service IP address of your ViewSonic Device Manager, please do the following: 1. On System tab, click System Settings > General Settings. 2. Click the drop-down list of available service IP addresses to select the desired IP address. 3. Click Save to apply. NOTE • It's strongly recommended to use a fixed IP address as the service IP of ViewSonic Device Manager. The change of the service IP may make all the managed clients become unmanageable. In case that the IP address of the computer where ViewSonic Device Manager is installed is changed, ensure that you make the Service IP setting here consistent with the new IP address. 3.2.9 Configuring the Database Source of ViewSonic Device Manager ViewSonic Device Manager offers two ways to store its management database: one is to store the database on the same computer where ViewSonic Device Manager is installed; the other is on a different computer.
