18 Installing user software on a PC-compatible computer TO EDIT THE ABOTH.BAT FILE FOR WINDOWS 3.1 WITH PHONENET: 1. Use a text editor to open the ABOTH.BAT file. ABOTH.BAT is stored in the directory in which PhoneNET PC software was installed (by default, the PHONENET directory). 2. Find the lines that read: REM Un-REM next two lines for backward compatibility REM LH C:\PHONENET\COMPAT REM if errorlevel 1 goto err If you installed PhoneNET PC in a directory other than C:\PHONENET, the second line will contain the directory name you chose instead of PHONENET. 3. Delete the word REM from the beginning of the second and third lines, so that they read: REM Un-REM next two lines for backward compatibility LH C:\PHONENET\COMPAT if errorlevel 1 goto err 4. Save the text file as ABOTH.BAT. 5. Exit the text editor. 6. If you are working in Windows, exit Windows. 7. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart your computer.

ABOTH.BAT is stored in the directory in which PhoneNET PC software was installed
(by default, the PHONENET directory).

If you installed PhoneNET PC in a directory other than C:\PHONENET, the second
