File names are differentiated by a P or an S that indicates Photographic mode or Solid Color mode. Files ending in "P.AST" are for printing in Photographic mode. Files ending in "S.AST" are for printing in Solid Color mode. The two separation tables are for Photographic (P) rendering and for Solid (S) color rendering. Photographic rendering is best for photographs and other images where tonal relationships are important. Solid color rendering is best when rendering individual colors accurately is more important than preserving tonal relationships. 8. Click OK to close the Separation Tables dialog box. Separation Tables remain loaded the next time you start Photoshop, unless you remove them. Loading the monitor settings file for Fiery XJ Scan If you will be using Fiery XJ Scan, load the monitor settings file into Photoshop. You need to load this file only once. TO LOAD THE MONITOR SETTINGS FILE: 1. Start Photoshop. 2. Choose Monitor Setup from the Preferences submenu of the File menu. The Monitor Setup dialog box appears.
