About This Manual s Basic Settings: ...The functions of the Clavinova are set to certain standard values or standard conditions when the instrument is shipped. These settings and conditions are called the basic settings. The basic settings of each function can be changed according to your preferences. Depending on the settings of the Backup function (page 147), you can have the Clavinova maintain your own edited settings or return to the basic settings after turning off the power. Basic Settings:

The functions of the Clavinova are set to certain standard values or
standard conditions when the instrument is shipped.
These settings and
conditions are called the basic settings.
The basic settings of each func-
tion can be changed according to your preferences.
Depending on the
settings of the Backup function (page 147), you can have the Clavinova
maintain your own edited settings or return to the basic settings after
turning off the power.
The Recall function (page 148) lets you restore
the basic settings at anytime.
Main display:
