CAUTION Before connecting the instrument to other electronic components, turn off the power of all the components. Also, before turning any components on or off, make sure to set all volume levels to minimum (0). Otherwise, damage to the components, electrical shock, or even permanent hearing loss may occur. Attaching the Music Rest Insert the music rest into the slots as shown. Connecting a Footswitch Connect the included footswich to the [AUX PEDAL] jack. Other separately sold foot pedals (FC3A, FC4A or FC5) can also be connected to this jack. By default, the sustain function is assigned. 14 DGX-670 Owner's Manual NOTE • Make sure that the power is off when connecting or disconnecting the footswitch. • Do not press the footswitch while turning the power on. Doing this changes the recognized polarity of the footswitch, resulting in reversed operation. Assigning a function to each pedal Various functions can be assigned to each pedal connected to the [AUX PEDAL] jack or the [PEDAL UNIT] jack - including start/stop of Song playback and controlling Super Articulation Voices. These can be set on the Pedal tab of the Controller display called up via the [MENU] button (page 100).

Attaching the Music Rest
Insert the music rest into the slots as shown.
Connecting a Footswitch
Connect the included footswich to the [AUX PEDAL]
jack. Other separately sold foot pedals (FC3A, FC4A or
FC5) can also be connected to this jack.
By default, the sustain function is assigned.
NOTE
Make sure that the power is off when connecting or
disconnecting the footswitch.
Do not press the footswitch while turning the power on. Doing
this changes the recognized polarity of the footswitch,
resulting in reversed operation.
