Status box The status box displays the current status of the Recorder and information about the current disc, including disc type, total playing time, and elapsed playing time. Set status Box to 'On,' if you want to see following icons when you access a feature. Warning box A warning box will be displayed near the bottom on the screen when appropriate. For instance:'Disc locked' Disc type icons DVD+RW (Rewritable) DVD+R DVD-Video Super Video-CD Video-CD no disc disc error Disc status icons 0 rec recording 9 stop stop 2 play playing ; pause pause play 0 ; pause record pause 0 erasing erasing R R x4 fast forward Q Q x4 fast reverse H 1 4 slow motion Tuner info box The tuner info box appears at the bottom left of the TV screen during monitor mode (see 'Manual recording Checking input'). It displays the currently selected signal, or which device you are viewing or recording from.When TV channel is selected, it shows the channel number and/ or channel name. For example, if the tuner info box shows EXT 1, you are viewing or recording the material that is playing on the equipment that is connected to the EXT 1 AUDIO and VIDEO IN jacks on the back of the Recorder. 012 Current TV channel 012 No signal Make sure you have connected an antenna or cable signal to the ANTENNA jack on the Recorder as described in "Installation - Update/Re-install TV channels." If you have selected an external input, make sure the source device is connected and switched on. Copy-protected signal The tuner info box appears on the screen at all times if you are watching TV channels through the Recorder (press MONITOR on the remote control). 16 OPERATION
