Remote control iPod™/iPhone™ APPENDIX Troubleshooting Problem The remote control does not work or function properly. Cause Wrong distance or angle. Direct sunlight or lighting (from an inverter type of fluorescent lamp, strobe light, etc.) is striking the remote control sensor of this unit. The batteries are weak. The remote control ID of the remote control and this unit do not match. External components cannot be controlled using the remote control. The remote control code is not correctly set. Remedy The remote control will function within a maximum range of 20 ft / 6 m, and no more than 30 degrees off-axis from the front panel. Adjust the lighting angle, or reposition this unit. Replace all batteries. Match the remote control ID of this unit and the remote control. Set the remote control code correctly using "Remote control code search" on the CDROM. Try setting another code for the same manufacturer using "Remote control code search" on the CD-ROM. If this unit does not work when you press jCursor B / C / D / E (on the remote control), do the following. When the key does not work during DVD disc menu operation: press the dInput selector (on the remote control) again. When the key does not work during Option menu/Setup menu operation: press the key corresponding to the current menu operation again. Even if the remote control code is correctly set, there are some models that do not respond to the remote control. See page - - 4 54 - - - - - Display Loading... Connect error Unknown iPod iPod connected Disconnected Unable to play Cause Remedy The unit is in the process of recognizing the connection with your iPod/iPhone. The unit is in the middle of acquiring song lists from your iPod/iPhone. There is a problem with the signal path from your iPod/iPhone to the unit. Turn off the unit and reconnect the Yamaha iPod universal dock to the DOCK jack of the unit. Remove your iPod/iPhone from the Yamaha iPod universal dock and then place it back in the dock.
