sing PSR-340 PortaTone This brief, easy-to-follow section shows you how to use the basic features and functions of your new PSR-340 PortaTone. If you've never touched an electronic keyboard before, reading and going through the steps in this section will make you familiar with the PortaTone in a very short time. It will also give you the tools you need to explore the advanced capabilities of the instrument and use them effectively in your own music. The PSR-340 features a built-in disk drive. It allows you to playback song data from a wide variety of commercially available disks, as well as create and save your own PortaTone data. Included with the PSR340 is a sample disk containing 99 sample songs for playback. Refer to page 92 for details on using the floppy disk drive (FDD) and floppy disk. Good luck...and enjoy! Once an appropriate disk is inserted, the PSR-340 will automatically switch into Song Mode. c Start the selected song. Press the START/STOP button. Indicates Song mode is selected Song name and number 101D-Song01 SONG x Select the desired song number. Use the numeric keypad. 10 In addition to playing a selected single song, you can have all songs on the disk play back in order. To do this, press the + button until the last selection "ALL" is selected, then press the START/STOP button to play back all songs in order. v If you want to change to another song, repeat step 2 above. b Stop the song.
