Connections & Music Stand PHONES 1 s Check the Voltage (Before you connect the AC cord 130V In some areas the PSR-4000 will have a voltage selector on the bottom panel. Make sure that the voltage selector is set for the AC mains voltage in 110V your area. The voltage selector can be set (rotated) 240V by using a screwdriver. If in doubt, contact your Yamaha dealer. 220V 1 The PHONES Jack ...A standard pair of stereo headphones can be plugged in here for private practice or late-night playing. The internal stereo speaker system is automatically shut off when a pair of headphones is plugged into the PHONES jack. 2 The AUX OUT L/L+R and R Jacks ... The rear-panel AUX OUT L/L+R and R jacks deliver the output of the PSR-4000 for connection to a keyboard amplifier, stereo sound system, a mixing console, or tape recorder. If you will be connecting the PSR-4000 to a monaural sound system, use only the L/L+R jack. When a plug is inserted into the L/ L+R jack only, the left- and right-channel signals are combined and delivered via the L/L+R jack so you don't lose any of the PSR-4000 sound. Stereo System AUX OUT R L/L+R 3 FOOT SWITCH 1 and 2 Jacks ... One or two optional Yamaha FC5 footswitches connected to these jacks can be used to control sustain and a range of other important functions. FOOT SWITCH 1 and 2 Jacks
