Starting Up Checking the remaining battery power The battery indicator on the LCD screen indicates the amount of remaining battery power as shown on the right. Remaining battery power When the battery power falls to a low level, the recorder will display the message "LOW BATTERY!." At this time, full low replace the battery with a new one. Also, the voltage of a nickel-metal hydride battery is different from that of an alkaline battery. Therefore, the remaining battery power for a nickel-metal hydride battery may not be displayed correctly. Preventing accidental operation (Hold function) • If you set the [HOLD] switch to [w HOLD], "HOLD ON" appears on the display and the control buttons will be disabled. • Set the [HOLD] switch to its original position.
