Input modes and indications This unit is equipped with 2 types of input jacks. Do the following to select the type of input signals you want to use. Press INPUT MODE repeatedly until the desired input mode is shown on the front panel display. INPUT MODE Front panel VCR V-AUX DTV/CBL DVD MD/CD-R TUNER CD VOLUME dB DVD AUTO LR Selected input source Input mode AUTO Automatically selects input signals in the following order: 1) Digital signals* 2) Analog signals DTS Selects only digital signals encoded in DTS. If no DTS signals are input, no sound is output. ANALOG Selects only analog signals. If no analog signals are input, no sound is output. * If this unit detects a Dolby Digital or DTS signal, the decoder automatically switches to the appropriate sound field program. y You can adjust the default input mode this unit selects when the power is turned on (see page 41). Notes • When you play DTS encoded CD/LDs with the input mode set to AUTO: - This unit automatically switches to the DTS decoding mode. The unit remains in DTS mode (and the "t" indicator may flash) for up to 30 second after playback of the DTS source is complete. To manually release the DTS mode, press INPUT MODE to reselect AUTO. - The DTS decoding mode may be released if search or skip operations are performed for more than 30 seconds. To prevent this, press INPUT MODE to select DTS. • If the digital output data of the player has been processed in any way, you may not be able to perform DTS decoding even if you make a digital connection between this unit and the player. Input modes and indications
This unit is equipped with 2 types of input jacks. Do the
following to select the type of input signals you want to
use.
Press INPUT MODE repeatedly until the
desired input mode is shown on the front
panel display.
AUTO
Automatically selects input signals in the
following order:
1) Digital signals*
2) Analog signals
DTS
Selects only digital signals encoded in DTS.
If no DTS signals are input, no sound is
output.
ANALOG
Selects only analog signals. If no analog
signals are input, no sound is output.
