The Switch discards ARP packets on untrusted ports when the sender's information in the ARP packets does not match any of the current packets. 2.14 MAC Menu The MAC menu will enable the following configurations: 2.14.1 MAC Table Status In this page, you can set the MAC aging time. The MAC table deletes the MAC address learned after the period of aging time. The default period is 304 seconds. The user can view the MAC Table by selecting this function. On this page the mark 'P' means the MAC is learned from a downlink port and the mark 'T' means the MAC is learned from a trunk port. 2.14.2 Lock MAC Address Learning The user can stop specific port(s) from learning MAC addresses. Select the port(s) that need to be locked so that they cannot learn MAC addresses. 37
