- BATTERY Every new Cadillac has a Delco Freedoms battery. You never have to add water to oneof these. When it's time for a new battery, we recommend a Delco Freedoms battery. Get onethat has the catalog number shown on theoriginal battery's label. ?+hide Storage If you're not going to drive your vehicle for 25 days or more, takeoff the black, negative (-) cable from the battery.
