So unless you want go faster, don't hold the switch at "R/A." To Increase Speed Wzile Using CruiseControl There aretwo ways to go to ahigher speed. Here's the first: Use the accelerator pedal to get to thehigher speed. Push the button at the end the lever, then release the buttonand of the accelerator pedal. You'll now cruise at the higher speed. Here's the second way to go to a higher speed: Move the Cruise switch from"ON" to "R/A." Hold it there until you get up to the speed you want, andthen release the switch. To increase your speed in very small amounts, move the switch to "R/A' Each timeyou do this, your vehicle go about 1mph will (1.6 kmk) faster. The accelerate feature will only workafter you have first the Cruise set Control speed by pushing the "SET CRUISE" button. 112
