To Check BrakeFluid Remove the cap. The fluid level must beto the maximum fill line at the base of the neck as shown. When your brake fluid fallsto a low level, yourbrake warning lightwill come on. See "Brake System Warning Light"in the Index. W a t to Add When you do need brake fluid, use onlyDOT-3 brake fluid -- such as Delco Supreme l l @ (GM Part No. 1052535). Use new brake fluid from a sealed container only, and always clean thebrake fluidreservoir capbefore removing it. NOTICE: Don't let someone put in thewrong kind of fluid. For example, just a few drops of mineral-based oil, such as engine oil, in your brake system can damage brakesystem parts so badly that they'll have to be replaced.
