Inspect the hoses and have them replaced if they are cracked, swollenor deteriorated. Inspectall pipes, Listed below are inspections and services which should be fittings and clamps; replaceas needed. performed at least twice a year (for instance, each spring and fall). You should let your GM dealer's service Throttle Linkage Inspection department or other qualified service center these jobs. do Inspect the throttle linkage for interference or binding, Make sure any necessary repairsare completed at once. and for damaged or missing parts. Replace parts as Proper procedures to perform these servicesmay be needed. Replace any cables that have high effort or found in a GM service manual. See "Serviceand Owner excessive wear. Part C: Periodic Maintenance Inspections Radiator and Heater Hose Inspection Steering and Suspension Inspection Inspect the front rear suspension andsteering and system for damaged, loose ormissing parts, signs of wear or lackof lubrication. Inspectthe power steering lines and hoses for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing,etc. Rear Axle Service Check the gear lubricant level the rear axle and add in if needed. Inspect the body near the exhaust system. Look for broken, damaged, missing or out-of-position parts as well as open seams, holes, loose connections or other conditions which could cause a heat build-up in the floor pan or could let exhaustfumes into the vehicle.
