Severe duty schedule 50,000 KILOMETERS (30,000 MILES) u Change engine oil and replace oil filter. u Replace air cleaner filter (1) u Inspect engine cooling system, hoses, and clamps; check coolant strength every 25,000 km (15,000 miles) or 12 months. u Inspect disc brake system and lubricate caliper slide rails (2). u Inspect drum brake systems, hoses and lines. u Change manual transmission oil. u Check clutch reservoir fluid level. u Lubricate driveshaft u-joint if equipped with grease fittings and lubricate slip yoke (if equipped)(2). u Lubricate rear driveshaft double cardan joint centering ball (SWB 4x4)(2). u Inspect and lubricate front wheel bearings (4x2 only) (2). u Inspect parking brake system for damage and operation. u Change transfer case oil (4x4). u Inspect exhaust system for leaks, damage or loose parts. Remove any foreign material trapped by exhaust system shielding. NOTE: It is normal for a certain amount of moisture and staining to be present around the muffler seams. The presence of soot, light surface rust or moisture does not indicate a faulty muffler.
