Driver Controls 2. Locate the reset button on the compass sensor mounted on the base of mirror. 3. To calibrate, press and hold the reset button on the compass module for approximately eight seconds until CIRCLE SLOW TO CALIBRATE appears on the display; then release the reset button. 4. Slowly drive the vehicle in a circle (less than 3 mph [5 km/h]) until the CIRCLE SLOW TO CALIBRATE display changes to CALIBRATION COMPLETED. It will take up to five circles to complete calibration. 5. The compass is now calibrated. Compass zone adjustment using the SELECT/RESET stem located on the cluster (if equipped) 1. Determine which magnetic zone you are in for your geographic location by referring to the zone 3 2 1 15 map. 4 14 2. Turn the ignition on. Press the 13 SELECT/RESET stem to scroll 5 through the message center until it 12 displays SETUP MENU HOLD RESET. 6 7 8 9 1011 3. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET stem to enter the setup menu option. Press and release the SELECT/RESET stem to scroll through the message center until it displays RESET FOR ZONE SETTING. 4. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET stem for approximately four seconds until the message center displays: ZONE RESET CHANGE. 5. Hold and release the SELECT/RESET stem to change the zone. (A quick press will exit out from the zone setting option.) Compass calibration adjustment using the SELECT/RESET stem located on the cluster (if equipped) NOTE: For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential electrical accessories (heated rear window, heater, A/C, map lamps, wiper, etc.) and make sure all the doors are closed. 1. Start the vehicle. Press the SELECT/RESET stem to scroll through the message center until it displays SETUP MENU HOLD RESET. 129
