When the horizontal aim has been adjusted, close the headlamp access panel. Adjusting the vertical aim 1. Do not adjust the vertical aim until after adjusting the horizontal aim. 2. With the hood open, locate the bubble level vertical aim indicator. It is visible when viewed from above the rear of the headlamp. 3. Close the hood. If the vehicle is on a downward or upward slope of not more than 1.2°, the VHAD's bubble level can be used to correct for the effects of the surface slope, provided that the slope is accurately known. 174
