Advanced BIOS Features The following screen shows the Advanced BIOS Features. The following table describes each Advanced BIOS Features parameter. Settings in boldface are the default and suggested settings. Parameter Virus Warning Slient Boot Quick Power On Self Test First Boot Device Second Boot Device Description Options Allows you to choose the Virus warning feature for the IDE hard disk boot sector protection. If this function is enabled and someone attempts to write data into this area, BIOS will show a warning message on screen and alarm beep. Disabled Enabled Disabled displays normal POST messages. Enabled displays OEM graphic instead of POST messages. Disabled Enabled This parameter speeds up POST by skipping some Enabled items that are normally checked. Disabled This parameter allows you to specify the system boot up search sequence.
