3 Setting the Processing ParametersN Filter effects The same effect as using filters with black-and-white film can be obtained with digital images. A color can be brightened by using a filter having a similar or same color. At the same time, the complementary colors will be darkened. Filter N: None Ye: Yellow Or: Orange R: Red G: Green Sample effects Normal black-and-white image with no filter effects. The blue sky will look more natural, and the white clouds will look clearer. The blue sky will look slightly darker. The sunset will look more brilliant. The blue sky will look quite dark. Fall leaves will look crisper and brighter. Skin tones and lips will look fine. Tree leaves will look crisper and brighter. v Setting the [Contrast] to the plus side will make the filter effect more pronounced. Toning Effect When color toning is set, color toning will be applied to the captured black-and-white image before being recorded to the CF card. It can make the image look more impressive.
