• When the camera and TV are connected, you can also shoot while previewing shots on the larger screen of the TV. To shoot, follow the same steps as when using the camera screen. However, AF-Point Zoom (=46), Stitch Assist (=63) and MF-Point Zoom (=72) are not available. Still Images Movies Powering the Camera with Household Power Powering the camera with AC Adapter Kit ACK-DC40 (sold separately) eliminates the need to monitor the remaining battery level. 1 Make sure the camera is off. 2 Connect the adapter to the camera. zzOpen the cover and insert the adapter plug fully into the camera. 3 Connect the power cord. zzInsert one end of the power cord into the compact power adapter, and then plug the other end into a power outlet. zzTurn the camera on and use it as desired. zzWhen finished, turn the camera off and unplug the power cord from the outlet. • Do not disconnect the adapter or unplug the power cord while the camera is still on. This may erase your shots or damage the camera. • Do not attach the adapter or adapter cord to other objects. Doing so could result in malfunction or damage to the product. Using the Silicone Jacket Putting the camera in Silicone Jacket SJ-DC1 (sold separately) protects it from scratches. The jacket is submersible and can be used in seawater. zzInsert the camera in the jacket in the direction of the arrow. zzTo avoid scratching the camera, keep dust and sand out of the jacket. • Be careful when inserting and removing the camera from the jacket. Do not force it open, which may tear or damage it. • To avoid scratching the camera, always remove any dust or sand that gets in the jacket. • After using the jacket in salt water or in dusty or sandy environments, rinse it thoroughly under fresh water (such as tap water) no warmer than 30 °C (86 °F) and dry it with a soft cloth.
