Resident Service Settings Dialog Box You can display the operating status of the resident service, and control the start and stop of the resident service in the Resident Service Settings. To open the Resident Service Settings dialog box, select Resident Service Control in the Tools menu. The resident service must be started to acquire job logs regularly. Start button Starts the resident service. The resident service starts automatically when the operating system is started. Stop button Stops the resident service. Important • If the user logs out, job logs cannot be acquired. • If resident service is set to Stop, job logs will not be acquired regularly even if Scheduled Acquisition Settings is set to ON for the managed printer. To acquire job logs regularly, remain logged in with the user name that started the service. 85
