Adding an Easy Access Button Scheme Button assignments are grouped into schemes, which you create or specify as you change the assignments of individual buttons. s Buttons can be renamed or reassigned within any scheme except the default scheme. s You can create an unlimited number of schemes. s Each button can have the same or different names and assignments in different schemes. s A scheme, including the default scheme, set for the Easy Access Buttons on the computer is applied to the first four buttons on an optional external keyboard. s If a scheme does not include custom settings for all available Easy Access Buttons, the unassigned buttons are included in the scheme with their default settings. To add an Easy Access Button scheme- 1. Double-click the Easy Access Buttons icon on the Windows taskbar. or Click Start!Settings!Control Panel. Double-click the Keyboard icon, then select the Easy Access Buttons tab. 2. Select the Add button. 3. In the Scheme box, type a name for the scheme being added. 4. In the Button Name column, select the icon of the button being assigned. 5. In the Button Name box, type the new name for the button being assigned. 6. In the Button Assignment box, enter the item to which you are assigning the button. To enter a button assignment s Type the file path or website address in the Button Assignment box. or s Use standard Windows procedures to copy a file path or website address elsewhere, then paste it into the Button Assignment box. or s Select the Browse button, then double-click the item. Adding an Easy Access Button Scheme
Button assignments are grouped into schemes, which you create
or specify as you change the assignments of individual buttons.
Buttons can be renamed or reassigned within any scheme
except the default scheme.
You can create an unlimited number of schemes.
Each button can have the same or different names and
assignments in different schemes.
A scheme, including the default scheme, set for the Easy
Access Buttons on the computer is applied to the first four
buttons on an optional external keyboard.
If a scheme does not include custom settings for all available
Easy Access Buttons, the unassigned buttons are included in
the scheme with their default settings.
To add an Easy Access Button scheme
1. Double-click the Easy Access Buttons icon on the Windows
taskbar.

Control Panel. Double-click the
Keyboard icon, then select the Easy Access Buttons tab.
2. Select the Add button.
3. In the Scheme box, type a name for the scheme being added.
4. In the Button Name column, select the icon of the button
being assigned.
5. In the Button Name box, type the new name for the button
being assigned.
6. In the Button Assignment box, enter the item to which you are
assigning the button. To enter a button assignment
Type the file path or website address in the Button
Assignment box.
or
Use standard Windows procedures to copy a file path or
website address elsewhere, then paste it into the Button
Assignment box.
or
Select the Browse button, then double-click the item. When
the item displays in the File name box, select OK.
