Installation and Configuration 5-15 Installing Additional Redundant Fibre Channel Fabrics At this point, you have installed the hardware for one redundant Fibre Channel Fabric or one redundant FC-AL. To add a second redundant Fibre Channel Fabric to the PDC/O2000, install another set of the hardware required for one redundant Fibre Channel Fabric, including: I Two or more Fibre Host Adapters in each server I Two or more Fibre Channel SAN Switches I Fibre Channel cables connecting the Fibre Host Adapters to the Fibre Channel SAN Switches I One or more RA4000/RA4100 Arrays I Fibre Channel cables connecting the Fibre Channel SAN Switches to the RA4000/RA4100 Arrays I GBIC-SW modules for Fibre Host Adapters, Fibre Channel SAN Switches, and RA4000 Array Controllers Installing Additional Redundant FC-ALs To add a second redundant FC-AL to the PDC/O2000, install another set of the hardware required for one redundant FC-AL, including: I Two or more Fibre Host Adapters in each server I Two or more Storage Hubs or FC-AL Switches I Fibre Channel cables connecting the Fibre Host Adapters to the Storage Hubs or FC-AL Switches I One or more RA4000/RA4100 Arrays I Fibre Channel cables connecting the Storage Hubs or FC-AL Switches to the RA4000/RA4100 Arrays I GBIC-SW modules for Fibre Host Adapters, Storage Hubs or FC-AL Switches, and RA4000 Array Controllers
