OPERATION Using Your Lawn Mower WARNING The operation of any lawn mower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can damage your eyes severely. Always wear safety glasses while operating the mower, or while performing any adjustments or repairs. Be sure lawn is clear of stones, sticks, wire, or other objects which could damage lawn mower or engine. Such objects could be thrown by the blade in any direction and cause serious personal injury to the operator and helpers. DUAL LEVER DRIVE CONTROLS (IF EQUIPPED) NOTE: Do not engage the dual lever drive controls while starting the engine. NOTE: Once the engine is running and while using the mower, continue holding the blade control (a) against the upper handle (b) (Figure 21). NOTE: Release the blade control to stop the engine. 2. Release the right lever drive control (c) to disengage the rear wheel drive. c Using Mower as Front Wheel Drive Only: 1.
