Installing the Fan

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board and remove the fan. 21.2 Installing the Fan 1. Install the fan and attach to the base using the 3 M3 x 4-mm screws. 2. Attach the fan cable to the system board. Then attach the grommet on the fan cable to the cage enclosure. 3. Replace the processor thermal-cooling assembly (see Installing the Processor Thermal-Cooling 25H Assembly). 4. Replace the palm rest (see Installing the Palm Rest). 256H NOTE: Ensure that you reconnect the coin-cell battery (see Coin-Cell Battery) before you replace 257H the keyboard. Remove the processor thermal-cooling assembly (see

8.
Remove the 3 M3 x 4-mm screws that secure the fan to the base.

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board and remove the fan.

Installing the Fan
1.
Install the fan and attach to the base using the 3 M3 x 4-mm screws.
2.
Attach the fan cable to the system board.
Then attach the grommet on the fan cable to the
cage enclosure.
3.
Replace the processor thermal-cooling assembly (see
Installing the Processor Thermal-Cooling
Assembly
).
4.
Replace the palm rest (see
Installing the Palm Rest
).
NOTE:
Ensure that you reconnect the coin-cell battery (see
Coin-Cell Battery
) before you replace
the keyboard.
