Prerequisites These steps are specific to establishing connections to Dell EMC PowerSwitch S4148-ON switches. About this task You must establish a terminal session to each of the switches to configure the switches for deployment. Steps 1. Power on the switch. 2. Use a serial cable to connect a computer to the serial console port, which is the top port located on the PSU-side of the PowerSwitch. For PSU-side of the switch layout see the Dell EMC PowerSwitch S4148-ON section of this guide. 3. Open a terminal emulator program, such as PuTTY, on the computer. 4. Configure the serial connection in the terminal emulator program using the following settings. Table 16. Connect to the switch using the terminal emulator program. 6. Enter the switch log in credentials. About this task
You must establish a terminal session to each of the switches to configure the switches for deployment.
Steps
1.
Power on the switch.
2.
Use a serial cable to connect a computer to the serial console port, which is the top port located on the PSU-side of the
PowerSwitch.
For PSU-side of the switch layout see the
Dell EMC PowerSwitch S4148-ON
section of this guide.
3.
Open a terminal emulator program, such as PuTTY, on the computer.
4.
Configure the serial connection in the terminal emulator program using the following settings.
