Where the AX150 fits in the EMC storage line The AX150 is a member of the CLARiiON family that builds on CLARiiON storage system's unique advantages: its proven architecture, continuous availability/data integrity, array-based replication capabilities, powerful management, and affordability. The AX150 establishes a new entry price point for CLARiiON storage platforms. Innovative packaging, coupled with cost-effective serial ATA II (SATA II) disk drives, enables customers who previously could not afford networked storage to take advantage of the ease of use and advanced functionality of the AX150 Series. The AX150 is for price-sensitive customers who require shared storage for SAN, NAS, or direct-attach environments where high availability of data is required, but scheduled system shutdowns during nonbusiness hours for repair is possible.
