Terms and Conditions A. What Is Covered: Epson America, Inc. ("Epson") warrants to the first end-user customer that the Epson WorkForce printer covered by this limited warranty, if purchased and used in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, will conform to the manufacturer's specifications and will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase (proof of purchase required), or 300,000 printed pages (WF-C5890), or 240,000 printed pages (WF-C5390), whichever occurs first ("Warranty Period"). A duplex print counts as two (2) sheets. Please note that coverage in year one of the Warranty Period is different from year two coverage. Epson also warrants that the included consumable ink packs will perform to the manufacturer's specified usage, which usage may expire before the expiration of the limited warranty for the printer. B. What Epson Will Do To Correct Problems in Year One (1) (Months 1-12): Advanced Exchange-Should your Epson product prove defective during the first year of the limited warranty period, please call Epson technical support. An Epson service technician will provide telephone diagnosis to determine whether the printer requires service. If service is required, Epson will, at its option, exchange or repair the printer without charge for parts or labor. If Epson authorizes an exchange for the defective unit, Epson will ship a replacement printer to you, freight prepaid, so long as you use an address in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. You are responsible for securely packaging the defective unit and returning it to Epson within seven (7) working days of receipt of the replacement. Epson requires a debit or credit card number to secure the cost of the replacement printer in the event that you fail to return the defective one. If Epson authorizes repair instead of exchange, Epson will direct you to send your printer to Epson or its authorized service center, where the printer will be repaired and sent back to you. You are responsible for securely packing the printer and for all costs to and from the Epson authorized service center. When limited warranty service involves the exchange of the printer or a part, the item replaced becomes Epson property. The replacement printer or part may be new or refurbished to the Epson standard of quality, and at Epson's option, may be another model of like kind and quality. Exchange products and parts assume the remaining period covered by this limited warranty. Customer data and applications cannot be restored and should be backed up by the customer. C. What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover 1. Use outside the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. 2. Excessive, continuous, or industrial use is not considered normal use. Damage, maintenance, or service from such use will not be covered under this limited warranty. 3. This limited warranty is not transferable. 4. Any color change or fading of prints or reimbursement of materials or services required for reprinting. 5. Damage to the Epson product caused by parts or supplies not distributed by Epson. 6. Consumables, supplies, accessories, and other expendable items identified as being replaceable by the user in the User's Guide. Consumables are items that wear out under normal use and must be replaced by the end user as needed. 7. Damage to the unit caused by incorrectly loading ink into the product or loading the incorrect color/black ink or ink type into the product. 2

D. What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover

Use outside the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
2.
Excessive, continuous, or industrial use is not considered normal use. Damage, maintenance, or service
from such use will not be covered under this limited warranty.
3.
This limited warranty is not transferable.
4.
Any color change or fading of prints or reimbursement of materials or services required for reprinting.
5.
Damage to the Epson product caused by parts or supplies not distributed by Epson.
6.
Consumables, supplies, accessories, and other expendable items identified as being replaceable by the
user in the
User’s Guide
. Consumables are items that wear out under normal use and must be replaced
by the end user as needed.
