Visual Inspection of
the antennas
Visual inspection on the antenna:
1.
Clean the antenna with water and mild soap.
2.
Verify there are no cracks on the antenna and
around attachment fasteners.
3.
Verify that all sealing fillets around the antenna are
in good condition.
If the antenna is broken, cracked, or dented it must be
replaced.
In the event attachment is not secure, re-attach antenna
and complete the Electrical Bonding Test.
In the event the antenna seal shows signs of damage,
complete the Electrical Bonding Test and re-seal the
antenna.
Visual inspection of the rotorcraft exterior skin around
installed antenna:
1.
Clean the exterior of the aircraft skin within a 10
inch radius of the antenna with water and mild
soap.

Inspect aircraft skin around the antenna footprint to
verify there are no cracks and aircraft skin is not
