Correct shelf Grilling uses a heating element to generate radiant heat to brown the exterior of the food. Your oven offers the option of using automatic, manual or combination grilling. Automatic grilling allows you to select the correct food type from a pre-programmed menu. Manual grilling allows you to specify the amount of time you wish to grill. Combination grilling combines grilling and microwaving to give you faster cook times. For Best Results... Use the Grilling Shelf and Pan. The grilling shelf sits on the turntable. As the shelf turns, the food you are grilling will get even passes under the grilling element. Because it is on the grilling shelf, it is closer to the element; therefore, it will cook faster and will brown. Incorrect shelf Auto Grill 1 Place grill tray and rack on the turntable. Place food on the tray and close the door. 2 Press the Auto Grill button. 3 Turn and press the dial to select FOOD TYPE (Beef/Pork/Poultry/Seafood). 4 When FOOD TYPE has been selected, turn the dial to select the specific food from the list given. 5 When the food selection has been entered, USE GRILL TRAY AND RACK will be displayed to remind you that you must use these when cooking with Auto Grill. 6 Press Start/Pause and grill time will be displayed. 7 If your food must be turned during cooking, a signal will sound once and TURN FOOD will be displayed until the dial or button is pressed or the door is opened. When the door is open, PAUSE and the remaining grill time will be displayed. 8 Press the dial or Start/Pause button. Cooking will resume and the time countdown will be displayed. NOTE: You may change the cook time at any time during cooking by turning the dial.
