• To defrost,first turn on the "Quick-Freezer" Switch for about 4 hours. This will harden items which you may want to put back in freezer later. • Unplug your freezer from the electrical outlet • Empty all foodstuffs from your freezer. • To defrost faster, keep the door open and place a bowl of warm water in the freezer allow frost to melt. • Never use sharp objects or any electric devices to remove frost in the freezer compartment • Do not splash or pour water into the freezer • When all the frost has melted. wipe the freezer dry with a dean cloth. • Replace all components to original positions and restart the freezer. • Return food one (1) hour after restarting the freezer .Turn the temperature control dial to "3"(normal) position. 20-30rnm 3 2 1.Drainage cover 2.Drain plug 3.20-30 mm "N. II • Remove the drainage cover located inside , at the bottom of the compartment. •Pull the drain plug slightly to expose the drain hole. • Rotate the drain plug so the arrow points downward. BROWNOUT TIPS When power interruptions occur, unplug your freezer to avoid overloading the compressor when power is restored, Avoid unnecessary opening of the freezer lid to preserve coldness. FOOD-BASKET The freezer has a removable food basket for storing items at a higher level . If you do not wish to use the food basket you can remove it. ENERGY SAVING TIPS • Use the Quick Freeze Switch only when necessary. • After using the Quick Freezer Switch , return to the normal setting at once. ■ Keep your freezer lid tightly closed. Check before leaving the house or retiring for the night. ■ Minimize the unnecessary opening of your freezer and close the lid as soon as possible, particularly in hot, humid weather. ■ Excess moisture in your freezer consumes energy. Reduce moisture by keeping foods covered and by wiping bottles and cartons before storing. ■ Allow hot foods to cool off (or until warm to the touch) before placing them in your freezer. ■ Do not overcrowd your freezer. ■ Do not dump contents into one area. Store foods orderly, leaving space between items and avoiding contact between newly-placed foods with frozen ones. Cleaning and Care Clean your freezer regularly. Freezers should be cleaned at least once every one to two weeks. Clean your freezer after defrosting. Unplug your freezer before cleaning. ;-. 0 I INSIDE Remove wire baskets and wash them in a solution of warm water and baking soda. Rinse well in clean water and wipe dry.
